Streat Control, a leader in industrial process control and instrumentation in New Zealand, joined AMS Instrumentation & Calibration Pty Ltd on May 19, 2023. Under the new ownership of Dirk and Thomas Kuiper, along with co-owner Mahmood Ghadiri, Streat Control aims to enhance operational efficiency with advanced technology and expert partnerships.
This transition will expand their range of high-quality products and services across various industries, leveraging strong relationships with leading manufacturers to provide innovative and precise solutions tailored to clients’ needs.
Mahmood Ghadiri NZ Manager View Mahmood has been with Streat Control for several years. Completing a Bachelor Degree in Iran, his home country, Mahmood first worked as a design engineer for a car manufacturing company. After coming to NZ in 1999 he undertook a Masters Degree at Auckland University. Mahmood moved to Sydney working as design and manufacturing engineer for several years, then joined Streat Control at 2016.

Dirk Kuiper CEO View Dirk has over 50 years’ experience in the instrumentation industry in a variety of functions in service, commissioning, sales and management. CEO of AMS since 1999.
Thomas Kuiper Operations Manager View Tom Kuiper has been with AMS since 2002. With some education in the Engineering, Accounting and Management fields, he started in an entry level position and has since developed into the National Sales Manager role.
Mike Farkas Calibration/Flow Products Manager View Mike has been with AMS since 1983 and has been exposed to various types of state of the art process control equipment including instrument calibration systems and flow measurement equipment. His main role is to provide training and technical support to our internal staff and our customers.
Peter Sims Analytical Product Manager View Peter Sims, previous our Vic. Sales Manager, has vast experience in the analytical field, having looked after the analytics previously at other instrument companies. Peter has been with AMS since 2016.
Anil Warrior Project Manager View Anil Warrior is a PMP (Project Management Professional) certified Project Engineer with 36 years of experience in Oil & Gas, Petro-Chemical, Marine and other industrial instrumentation with excellent project management and project execution skills. Currently he is working as Project Manager with AMS since 2015.
Angela Chaplin Accountant View Angela started work at AMS in 2009 as the accountant. Her responsibilities include all day to day finance duties. Preparing asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analysing account information.
Recommending financial actions by analysing accounting options.
